O’Sullivan’s Law

Day Eight: 2/19 –Phuket
Title: O’Sullivan’s Law

Hi Everybody! I’m starting the blog very late tonight (or super early in the morning). It is 12:22 am. Dad and I had a pretty lazy day today. We both felt like we wanted to recharge our batteries a little bit before heading off to Cambodia tomorrow. Even though today was lazy I still have a solid four pages of fun stories to write about. For instance I am sitting on our balcony right now listening to the live music coming from the bar on the corner. The band is made up of three rockstar looking Asians (I think they are Japanese). Since I have been listening they have covered Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chicago, U2 and B52s songs. They have quite a range ;~> We are in transit most of the day tomorrow, so I think I am going to save the majority of my Phuket evaluation for then. I do however want to share two things:

1. The Doctor P. fun fact of the day. This evening my dad asked me if I knew what he thought was the most amazing muscle in the human body. Knowing my father (and what had occurred the moment prior) I DID know the answer. Can any of you guess what he said? That’s right… the anal sphincter. To defend his position he said, “think about it this way… Pretend you are holding a solid, a liquid and some gas in your hand. Now flip your hand over and release just the gas… you couldn’t do it. The anal sphincter is pretty amazing.” Leave it to the Doctor to succinctly explain the magic of the bung hole.

2. Today I spent a lot of time thinking about Murphy’s Law. I believe it says something like “if it can go wrong it will”. Well I think there has to be another Irish guy who said this… let’s call it O’Sullivan’s Law: “Attractive people make you dream, unattractive people leave little to the imagination.” With this thought in mind tonight’s blog is going to be of the photo variety. Please enjoy and I promise to get verbose again tomorrow.

Talk to you soon,
Katy
